Wood Finishes
All of our natural wood finishes have been sealed with a protective wax, varnish or oil, to help protect the wood against daily use. In order to maintain this natural look, do not use wood polish or sprays as this will affect the finish of your furniture.
All spills should be removed immediately using a clean damp cloth. Do not use detergents or other cleaning products. Any oil based product or wine will potentially stain, especially if it is not removed straight away.
Do not put hot dishes or cups on any wood surfaces, always use an insulated mat for protection.
If your furniture is in a very light room or near a source of heat, it will potentially fade and could develop cracks over time. This has to be accepted as part of the nature of wood and is not a fault.

Rattan and Loom Furniture
You can vacuum your furniture using the upholstery attachment of your vacuum cleaner to remove dust from between the weave.
All spills should be wiped clean using a damp cloth. Do not use detergents or other cleaning products.

Painted Furniture
Our painted furniture has been sealed with a protective varnish. For general cleaning do not use furniture polish on painted surfaces, just clean with a soft dry cloth or duster.
All spills should be removed immediately using a clean damp cloth. Any oil based product or wine will potentially stain, especially if it is not removed straight away.
Do not use detergents or other cleaning products as they could wear down the protective coating over time.
If you have a stubborn stain you can gently use a non-abrasive cream product such as Cif with a damp cloth, but please do so at your own risk, if you rub too hard it can wear off the paint.

Upholstered Furniture
Vacuum your furniture using the upholstery attachment of your vacuum cleaner.
Use a clean dry absorbent cloth to blot up spills as soon as they occur. Do not rub the fabric.
All upholstery is likely to stain if you spill anything on it. If you have a stubborn stain you can try using a special upholstery cleaner. Follow the instructions carefully before use.
Be careful of dark clothing such as blue jeans, where the dye could transfer onto light coloured furniture.
You can buy a protective spray such as Scotchguard, or get your furniture treated professionally, to help prevent against staining, but if you do so this is at your own risk.
